ABOUT THERAPEUTIC ANIMISM
Therapeutic animism is a holistic approach to wellness that blends the wisdom of animism with the compassion of social work counseling, celebrating the deep connection and respect for all life forms and natural phenomena. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being, weaving together nature-based therapy, eco-spiritual practices, and symbolic work.
By decolonizing mental health and embracing indigenous knowledge systems, therapeutic animism promotes re-wilding and rekindles our innate bond with the natural world. There is also an invitation to explore non-ordinary realms and spirituality, fostering a sense of balance and harmony within oneself and with the universe.

SOCIAL WORK
Social work is a profession dedicated to helping individuals, families, groups, and communities improve their well-being. Social workers focus on enhancing people's individual and collective quality of life by addressing various social, emotional, and practical needs.
As a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, I strive to empower people to develop skills and connect with the resources they need, enabling them to achieve their emotional and spiritual aspirations.
Social Work not only considers the individual but also examines how their challenges are intertwined with the broader social systems they navigate.
The uniqueness of social work practice lies in the blend of particular values, knowledge, and skills, including the use of relationship as the basis of all interventions and respect for the client’s choice and involvement.
ANIMISM
Animism is a way of understanding the world that roots back to ancient times and honours the spirit and energy in all things. There is no one way to be animist or practice animism as it is a unique experience for each individual and each community that animist people are part of.
We humans are part of nature and therefore we are impacted by nature. Nature is our greatest healer and teacher.
By connecting with our earth through rituals, mythology and other earth honouring practices, we can heal and rediscover our roots. Understanding our roots, connection to nature and ancestral past are all significant pieces to understanding ourself and our place in this world.
Animism is the birthplace of religion. It is a modern term that speaks to the way life was when humans connected with nature and the spirit realms.
