Earth in Sky is a small, appointment and event-based space in Hamilton, Ontario. 1:1 visits are booked in advance, and most gatherings require registration so that the space can remain small and intentional.

You will receive the address, arrival time and anything else you need to know when you book.

For group experiences, arriving on time helps everyone settle in together. The doors may be locked shortly after some gatherings begin so that the experience can unfold without interruption.

Every visit to Earth in Sky is a little different. You might be coming for counselling, conversation, movement, creativity, ritual, spiritual exploration, community, or an experience that brings several of these together.

You do not need to know how to do any of this beforehand. Guidance is offered along the way, with plenty of room for you to find your own way of participating.

You are welcome to be curious, quiet, expressive, uncertain, playful, reflective or simply present. You can modify or decline invitations, take a break when you need one and choose what you would like to share.

Come in whatever helps you feel comfortable and like yourself. For movement or embodied experiences, clothing that allows you to move easily is helpful.

Most of what you need will already be here. Materials for facilitated experiences are generally provided, and you are welcome to bring a water bottle, journal, extra layer or another small comfort from home.

If you need anything special for a particular gathering, you will know before you arrive.

Earth in Sky offers an opportunity to spend some time fully where you are.

During most experiences, you will be invited to silence and put away your phone so that your attention can return to yourself, the room, the experience and the humans around you. If you need to keep your phone accessible for caregiving, health, accessibility or another important reason, that is completely welcome.

Therapeutic, spiritual and intimate gatherings are generally experienced rather than documented. You can usually expect not to be photographed or filmed for social media. If photography is part of a particular event, you will know beforehand and your choices will be respected.

We also ask everyone to treat the personal experiences of others with care and discretion. Professional social work services include the additional privacy and confidentiality protections of that practice.

Animism is part of the roots of Earth in Sky, and people of many different beliefs and worldviews are welcome here.

You might be spiritual, religious, agnostic, skeptical, curious, earth-connected, still figuring things out or uninterested in putting a name to any of it.

You are welcome to understand your experiences through the language that makes sense to you. What matters here is curiosity, respect and room for different ways of relating to Earth, spirit, meaning and mystery.

Earth in Sky welcomes people across identities, cultures, bodies, abilities, neurotypes, relationships, beliefs and backgrounds.

There is no particular way you need to look, communicate, move, socialize, believe or express yourself to belong here. Different people need different things to feel comfortable and able to participate, and those differences are welcome.

If there is something that would make your visit more accessible or supportive, you are encouraged to reach out. This might include questions about mobility, seating, sensory experiences, communication, movement modifications or simply knowing more about what to expect.

Earth in Sky is located within an existing building, which means there are some physical accessibility limitations. We are happy to give you clear information about the particular rooms being used so you can decide whether the space works for you.

Your choices remain yours while you are here.

Movement, creativity, reflection, ritual and personal sharing are offered as invitations. You are welcome to adapt an activity, participate differently, observe, rest or say no.

Your body is also your own. If an experience includes the possibility of interpersonal touch, it will be introduced clearly and approached through consent.

Taking care of your boundaries is part of participating, not a failure to participate.

Earth in Sky is a sober space.

We hold gratitude and respect for the long histories of relationship between humans and plant medicines, including the traditions and communities in which these relationships are held with knowledge, responsibility and care.

Earth in Sky explores another part of the human experience: what becomes available when we meet ourselves, one another, Earth and spirit through our ordinary waking consciousness.

Movement, ritual, creativity, sound, conversation, stillness, nature, community and attention can themselves become ways of deepening our relationship with ourselves and the living world.

Sobriety here is therefore more than the absence of a substance. It is an invitation into presence, curiosity and relationship with the consciousness and body we arrive with.

We ask that everyone attend without the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs. Tea, cacao and other non-alcoholic drinks may be woven into particular experiences.

Earth in Sky is home to both professional therapeutic services and creative, spiritual, educational and community experiences.

When an eligible service is provided by Chauntell Dietrich, RSW, you may receive a social work receipt to submit to an extended health benefits plan that covers Registered Social Workers.

Every offering will make it clear what kind of experience you are joining and whether a social work receipt is available.

Life happens. If your plans change, please give as much notice as you can.

Cancellation and rescheduling details are provided when you book. Because gatherings are intentionally kept small, letting us know that you cannot attend also helps us care for the space and, when possible, offer your place to someone else.

Earth in Sky may be a little different from places you have visited before, and you do not need to understand everything before you arrive.
